AlorAir Sentinel HD90 dehumidifier with high COP is always a popular choice for large residential and commercial restoration projects! The unit is not only more efficient, but also consumes less energy and is more reliable

Features

  • Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier: Quickly and effectively removes moisture with less energy than conventional dehumidifiers without racking up your energy bill, saving the money. It will be the best crawl space/basement dehumidifier you will ever use. Remove 90 pints per day at AHAM condition, 198 Pint at saturation, up to 2,600 sq. ft, fit for any basement, crawl space, storage areas, garage, large room, or commercial use.
  • Internal Corrosion Protection: An advanced technology to minimise corrosion and freon leakage. As you know, there is always oxide, hydroxide or sulphide in dehumidification applications. Regular coils quickly corrode and leak freon. This innovative feature extends the life of the coils by providing protection against this while maintaining the coil's heat transfer capability.
  • Automatic Defrost: Our advanced auto-defrosting system continuously monitors the ambient temperature using built-in sensors. When the temperature is detected to be low, the unit initiates an automatic defrost cycle to prevent frost buildup and related issues. During this process, the compressor temporarily stops while the fan continues to operate, allowing the frost to thaw. Once the defrost cycle is complete, the dehumidifier resumes normal operation. This feature conserves energy and helps extend the lifespan of the unit
  • Save on Costs, AlorAir High COP Dehumidifie: An investment in crawl space/basement comfort can be paid back by a few years' energy savings. You can save up to $250 per year in energy costs with dehumidifiers working for their families! Once you can maintain a consistent RH of 50 %, no need to keep the thermostat at low, uncomfortable temperatures once used to control humidity.

Sentinel HD90

This appears to be a very nice unit at half the price of competitors. I was very impressed upon unboxing the unit. I hooked it up ,followed the startup procedures and it performed as expected. Time will tell as far as the reliability of the unit goes but I'm optimistic.Give Alorair serious consideration when shopping dehumidifiers.

Customer Service is Fantastic

After months of wonderful service, we experienced an issue with our Alorair Dehumidifier which was installed in the crawl space of our home. Eileen, the customer service rep we emailed was fantastic. She was very helpful and informative. She forwarded all the information to the correct parties who determined we needed a replacement unit. The unit arrived very quickly and we are looking forward to years of great service from the new unit.

Solidly built

We are using the dehumidifier in our perpetually damp basement. It is handling the job well. We have a stand-alone humidity gauge and it verifies the indicator on the Alor Air unit. The Alor Air doesn’t clunk like our cheaper Frigidaire model when engaging and disengaging. It happens to be located beneath our bedroom and we do hear it turn on and off. It was a little louder than I expected after reading other reviews. The decibel level seems similar to hearing our forced air furnace engage. I cannot address the value for the money at this stage. It seemed a pricey investment, but appears to be solidly built. If it performs well for multiple years I will consider it money well spent. Packaging was excellent.

Bigger, but not big enough

It's been running in automatic mode for 2 weeks and hasn't broken yet, so that's impressive, however, it couldn't get the humidity down to 48%, so that was a bit disappointing. My basement is almost damp, 66% humidity, which is a lot, so I knew I needed a commercial grade beast, but the best this has been able to do is 52%, which is very respectable, but I'm not blown away. Still, the product is good so far, it's not too noisy and small enough to not be an eyesore.
