In terms of the dehumidifier itself, it was easy to set up and I’m pleased with its overall performance and quiet noise level thus far. My lower rating of 4 relates to my lack of confidence with the humidity level readings by the machine, and the lack of filter change and/or cleaning recommendations in the manual that came with the unit. This product was purchased as part of a mold remediation project in my home basement and crawlspace area, and the hygrometer readings registered by the professional remediation team and my own purchased units, which were in agreement, were several points lower than that indicated on the dehumidifier. This has led to concerns that the machine may be working harder, or running more continuously than necessary, in order to maintain the desired humidity level I chose during setup, leaving me to check the readings more often to determine if a change in the setting might be appropriate.
